Kristol, a staunch critic of President Trump who worked as editor-at-large of the right-winged Weekly Standard magazine, shared a Twitter poll questioning if the president’s son was “too stupid to know he’s anti-Semitic,” with the choices “yes,” “no” and “not mutually exclusive.”

As of this Wednesday evening, over 16,000 people had participated in the poll, with “yes” and “not mutually exclusive” at 44 and 45 percent.

Eric Trump has since faced national scrutiny over the “shekels” comment, which many argued references a stereotype that associates  Jews with corruption and greed.

The youngest Trump son made the remarks while attacking Woodward’s latest book, “Fear: Trump in the White House,” labeling it “nonsense.”

The president alongside his top advisers has attempted to undermine the book over the last few days, accusing Woodward of portraying a fake reality inside the White House.

“Don’t you think people look through the fact that you can write a sensational, nonsense book, CNN will definitely have you on there because they love to trash the president,” Eric Trump said on “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday morning. “It will mean you sell three extra books, you make three extra shekels.”
