MSNBC political commentator Anushay Hossain launched a blistering attack on White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway late Sunday morning after she defended Robert Porter, a staffer accused of beating his former wives.
Hossain appeared on AM Joy, where she urged Republican women to flee their party because of its “sexist, racist misogynistic” ways. Then, she set her sights on Conway, who was hopping from one news station to the other, defending Porter on behalf of the White House.
Hossain slammed Conway for putting down victims and promoting an archaic message that still gives men “the benefit of the doubt”. The MSNBC cmmentator unleashed an assault on Conway, calling her out for being part of the problem:
“This says what I always knew. This is a sexist, racist misogynistic administration and government. I want to take this opportunity to say to GOP women: get out. This is your time, this goes beyond partisan politics. This is not about what Democrats and Republicans do. This is about violence against women. You guys have stuck by him [Trump] through pedophilia, through sexual assault, domestic violence,” she exclaimed. “This is a human rights issue. This president does not stand behind your gender. This is not about partisan politics. This is a dangerous message for women around the world. GOP women, you owe it to women around the world, girls around the world to get out.”
